"HAVE A GO"
Dancers, musicians, and callers are invited to music and dance sessions in
Chester.
http://have-a-go-dancesession.blogspot.com/p/what-when-where.html
Beginners and experts welcome. Come and do what you already do, and have a go at
something new.
The idea is to play dance tunes, then dance to them. With anyone who wants to
call choosing dances of any sort - English ceilidh style, Playford, American
squares and contras, Welsh or Scottish... whatever.
Third Thursdays of each month at Chester Deaf
Centre Southview Road Chester Cheshire CH1 4JG ,
but please do check the
"Have A Go" page or the website link (above) to confirm
latest details.
Bring your dancing shoes, instruments, music stands, and a drink. Charge £2.
There are links on the website to the notation for the music we will be playing.
If you want to hear the tunes in advance, email me and I will send a midi-file. Each month we will play
some of the tunes we have played before, and introduce new tunes gradually.
